This is one of the coolest after market items i have seen in a while. Now what would be even cooler is if you could run multiple remote heads from one scanner. so for example you have a scanner in your radio room, but run a head to your bedroom, garage, basement and hear and control everything.

Best Regards, Brian

I just wanted to respond to this as I hadn't been online here when this was originally posted. Having received my kit from Jason, I never once questioned when it was going to arrive. It was clear from the begining that he was going out of his way to re-configure his equipment, order the parts, and do all of this because he wanted to provide something he was able to for others to enjoy and use.

I have had several email conversations with Jason and thanked him not only in those emails, but now here as well. He has been extremely responsive, and a pleasure to work with. For anyone that has given him grief, please take a moment to think about why you did that. Re-configuring his equipment is not something he had to do, nor can he possibly be making anything off of this other then the personal satisfaction.

Thank you for a great product, I'm very happy to say I'm enjoying my Kit!

All pending orders have NOT shipped yet. We are having some parts supply issues that are out of my control. However, all of the boards are assembled and packed. We are waiting on parts to complete the cable kits that are shipped with the boards.

Having said that, I should have stopped when I was ahead and decided to not take anymore orders. At this point, I have received several threats for legal action against me for fraud, failure to deliver, ect. Overall, I have had a pretty decent time dealing with the general public, but it's times like these that make me want to close up shop.

Once the kits that are still on order have been shipped I WILL NOT build/ship anymore kits. NO EXCEPTIONS. Any boards left over will be disposed of and I will no longer offer this kit for sale. I will however, always support any kits that have been purchased previously.

Anyone who has emailed me prior to today and I gave them an estimated ship date, I can only appologize. Those dates were based on the fact that parts were on order and due to me, but turned up to be back on order. I was making an honest effort at guessing shipping dates, based on the knowledge I had at the time.

Again, I am sorry for the delays. I will make sure that all pending kits ship.

One thing I have to ask, Jason are you still making them? I have made a payment for 1.

Mike,

Yes, we are in the process of filling a few residual orders that came in, including yours. Once I have those built, I will have a better idea of my inventory to build more.

Hi Jason,
I am very interested in purchasing one if you have any left I don't mind waiting as right now as currently I don't even have a scanner yet (purchasing one soon) but I really want one of these before they are gone. Oh and I don't need the cat5 cable if you are running low on supplies.
Thanks,
Billy

Edit: Unfortunately my funds for both the scanner and remote head fell through thanks anyway.

Here is a question, in order to clean up wiring and not use or cut the long RH-96 extension cable, I cut the original rs 232 to Uniden connector cable and put stereo jack and plug on the cable. checked it with freescan on a laptop no problem controlling the radio. Take it apart and plug the cable into the jack on the kit and "scanner unconnected" ????? Shouldn't it work? red, green and white wires (black and ground not used) and that should be pin 2, 3 and 5 on the 232.

As long as you maintained the same pinout on you extension cable, it should work fine.

EDIT:

Ah, something just occured to me, have you tried powering everything down and back up WITH the head connected? I think I ran into an issue where the radio had to be powered up first and then the head, in order for the head to be properly recognized. Just a shot in the dark!
