Rhode Island Statewide P25 800 Trunked System

Hello,

There are reports over on ScanCapeCod.Net (a very good local site) that testing is starting for a 5 site statewide P25 9600 baud trunked radio system on 800 MHz.
Frequencies: 866.2375 866.4625 867.0875 867.1500 867.2375 867.4500 867.9250 868.1750 868.4125 and 868.8750.

A control channel of 868.8750 was picked up east of Cranston RI in Fall River, MA.

RI has the first known 9600 baud P25 trunked system in New England. Finally a use for my Pro96 and BCD396T on my trips (beer runs) to RI!!!! I guess another beer run is coming up very soon.

WHAT?? You don't drive down to the Beer Store in Kulpsville to get Yuengling for your beer runs????

I'm shocked, no, in fact I'm dismayed!!

I usually drive over to Pittsburgh from Columbus to get Yuengling (but not recently, with gas prices the way they are)....

No, I head on down to Westerly, RI to get that Old Yankee Ale brewed by distant relatives.

Receiving control channel sounding data transmission on channel 867.45 in the Charlestown/Westerly area with no identifying sysid or other data. Not listed as an alternate control channel. Control channel info on channel 868.875 same as reported by Eric from the same area.
