I will be taking my daughter to EKU for orentation next month and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any other good sites to monitor other than the following:
Lexington Public Safety (or should I use the new system)
Lexington Public Safety TRS (NEW)
UK Athletics Association
Woodford County
Jessamine County
Madison County including Madison County Public Safety
Bluegrass Army Depot
Scott County including Scott County Public Safety


Will I pick up much on the Bluegrass Army system?

Does anyone in the area have a list of the tow trucks and taxi frequencies (habit from a past life) for the Lexington / Richmond area?

Use the new public safety system, seems to be a bit better in the coverage department. Don't forget to program the Lexingtin Police VHF system, Medevac Frequencies, KSP post 7 if you have a digital scanner.

Fayette County Sherriff isn't worth programming, you more than likely will not be able to pick up scott county, it is very touchy.

Send me your email address and I will send you a couple of .p96 files that will bring you eastbound along the Blue Grass PKWY and into Richmond.... BGAD will be active thru the day--mostly routine movement of materiel, usually very quiet at night; the UK Athletics Assoc. is usually active only during football games...

Thanks unitcharlie, I sent my e-mail via PM. More than likely I will be coming through Louisville, via I-64 (YEA CONSTRUCTION :roll: ) as I am closer to it than the WK & Bluegrass, but I will take any information provided.

PRO-96 will be the scanner I have with me.

If your coming through Louisville, which direction you coming? If you are accessing 64 from 65 or 264 you should be ok. The only area shutdown this weekend will be between i264 / 64 coming from Indiana to i64 west of 65.
