Has anyone made the calibration attachments - Open, Short, and Load - for the Rig Expert AA-55 Zoom?

There's a Youtube video, that describes the process, but I'm wondering if anyone else has done this.

If not, are there reasonably priced calibration kits for the Rig?

Yes, I calibrate my AA-55 most times I use it to eliminate the coax in the results, as I check my antennas after they're up.

If you don't want buy a calibration set, just take three S0-239 bulkheads, do nothing to one, short the center to the shield on the second, solder a 50ohm resistor across the center and shield on the third. Easy peasy.

You can buy a 50ohm load from minicircuits (KARN-50CN+) that is pretty good up to higher frequencies.

I got lucky a several years back and found a HP908 LOAD and the matching SHORT/OPEN HP85032-60011 (these are N connectors.) I use them for my AA-1400 RigExpert and my VNAs. These are overkill for most users.

You can certainly do what W4AXW suggested and make your own SOLT kit. The minicircuits load was < $50 though, and I believe is rated up to around 6 Ghz.

Thanks for the information. I have several SO 239 that I think I give a try on soldering. I have 50 ohm resistors and have watched the video several times to see what's needed. It appears to be a simple project overall with little downside.
