I would like to know what the frequencys are for the RG-E as well as the system they are using? Also I down loaded the frequency's for the NYSGE and I have know idea what system they are on. They say it is a duplex system but that terminology does not show up on my BCD396T?
THANKS BILL

For frequencies throughout New York State: NF2G - New York

yes but most digital, trunked, and uhf scanners cannot listen too all at the same time. you may want to buy trunktracker 4 which can listen to all....

TX on one freq, RX on another means nothing to me. When programing the BCD396T What would be the best settings to use? I feel like you need a 4 year degree in radio science to program scanners today.
Does a duplex system apply to any of these systems?

* M/A-Com/ComNet/Ericsson EDACS - AFS and Decimal Talkgroup
* M/A-Com/ComNet/Ericsson EDACS-SCAT - AFS and Decimal Talkgroup
* EFJ/Transcrypt ESAS - none found yet (obsolete, but still in use)
* EFJ/Transcrypt LTR-Regular - Area/Home/ID#
* EFJ/Transcrypt LTR-MultiNet - System/Group and Hex Talkgroup
* EFJ/Transcypt LTR-Passport - format not yet known
* Motorola Type I - Fleet/Subfleet (obsolete, but still in use)
* Motorola Type IIi - Decimal Talkgroup (fleetmap required)
* Motorola Type II - Decimal Talkgroup
* Motorola Hybrid - Fleet/Subfleet or Decimal Talkgroup as appropriate in each Block
* MPT-1327 - none found yet
* P25 - (indicates a "pure" APCO Project 25-compliant system)
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

Those are all trunked systems. They are all repeater systems, not duplex. Some systems are capable of operating in a manner that resembles semi-duplex because the dispatcher can hear units talking even when the dispatcher is transmitting.

You need to set your scanner to P25 to listen.
