With only a bit more than a month to go until the first event at Downsview Park, I did a quick search but even after 3 hours of scanning the listed frequencies with FMP24 I didn't get any hits (got TG 8133, which should be a Wonderland talkgroup). I'd assume it would be some sort of small DMR trunked system. My Uniden didn't pick up any CC hits either but I did see security(?) walking around with what looked like the lower-tier Motorola radios with the black and white LCD.

I imagine it's a low power system similar to the Rogers Centre and Scotiabank Arena. Once you've reached the edge of the property, your signal will tend to drop significantly. Plus, with it not opening untill next month, I would imagine there isn't a lot of activity.

I also agree with you that it might be a DMR trucked system either Capacity Plus or Capacity Max

I've started hearing comm's on 452.0125 Color Code 9 frequently this past weekend. I went through the TAFL list and created a CAP system on my 536 with the BEARCOM frequencies for the day to day stuff. When a concert comes back I'll try and monitor the Mission Control frequencies.
Most active talkgroups are 102, 104, 128, 136 and 140.

I live about 10k west of the site and Downsview's elevation is pretty much the highest in the city (viewing the downs, right?), so it booms in at 5 bars.

Please help with updates, this is what I have created so far:

Based on the article in the CBC this weekend about the opening night about issues with people exiting, I think its safe to say there will be quite a bit of traffic on this system.

With the stadium being completely in the open, it would also be interesting to poke around the OTA TV channels to see if any wireless mic's, monitors or intercoms can be heard. Although AFAIK, most of the gear for high-end shows are all digital now and at least for wireless mic's they're so low power they'd go a few hundred feet at most.

Pretty much all wireless mic’s and IEM's are digital and using their own formats (can’t really blend brands a ton). You would definitely need to basically be in the stadium to receive them, they run <50mW.

Much of the pro intercoms are in the 1.9 and 2.4GHz ranges now too.

Interesting configuration for their colour codes. It's very busy this afternoon for the Coldplay concert.

You'd figure with Veld going on this weekend that the radios would be busy. Not hearing a thing over the scanner or DSDPlus tonight.
