sorry newby. can i clone my RS pro 106 with a pro 2096? any help would be greatful!

No not clone per se , but it will let ya import from other files such as .p96 etc t, he steps may vary from 1 software package to another.. I recommend PSRediit500 at "www.psredit.com Mike has great tech support.. most questions answer within minutes. get pst500 free , has a 30 day trial & choose the 2nd item under the import tab.. $35 for 1 time registration key.

The only software for the Pro-106 that will import .p96 files is Don Starr's Win 500 availaible at StarrSoft.com.

No checking again needed on my side. A carefull read of your initial post mentions import from other files such as .p96. The import tab that you mention is NOT importing a .p96 file as you suggest. It is importing the contents of the scanner. Only StarrSoft's Win 500 will import .p96 files without the need to actually use a pro-96/Pro 2096 scanner somewhere in the process.
