Hi,

I have an RTL dongle with the antenna kit. The SMA connector on the extension cable came off. I bought a replacement cable from Amazon.
The male end worked with the dongle but the antenna lead would not screw into the female end of the extension cable.

Has anyone found a good replacement extension cable to use on the RTL SDR dongles with antenna kits?

Thanks, Randy

Buy the tools and connectors and diy. You will learn a bunch and have no one to blame but yourself. In the long run, you will win out.

Beef up the connection on the antenna kit, too. Take it apart to see how it is now, and try to make it better.

Which SMA connectors do you have on the extension? There are a different types.. Regular SMA and RP-SMA.

If it wouldn't 'screw in', you probably got an extension with the wrong connector. You need to know which connectors you have in order to get a 'good' one. If you're not sure, post a picture of the antenna connector that you want the extension to fit.
