Has anyone verified TG's for Elk Grove PD? I'm in town now and am searching but no luck for certain yet. Thanks!
EGPD has 14 TGs assigned to them. Looks like 2 main, records, detectives, swat, K9, traffic, 3 tacticals, and 4 mutual aids.

I don't believe any of them are in use yet.

sac-emt - I have a 245 and I programmed in all the frequencies from the original city and county systems into new banks. I then locked out the "old" control channels. I have been doing it this way since the transition to the new system started and it works great. Just make sure the original city and county control channels are locked out. ;)

Thank you!!!

Do you know what they are yet? Also, doesn't 14 talkgroups seem like a lot? I mean Elk Grove is the second largest city by population in the county, but that seems like a lot of talkgroups.

Yes I know what they are, but I've been forbidden from disclosing it at this point. When they come into use, I think they'll get figured out...sorry 'bout that.

And yes, it seems like a lot, but it's 100% accurate.

Okay, thanks for the heads-up on those talk groups. I guess we don't need them until their comm center is up and running, and by then we'll all know what they are.

New Talkgroups

What I know of has been entered into the database. If we are missing anything please submit the information to the database or let me know here.

There are some discrepencies with Los Rios CC. A recent submission says they've moved lower down the TG range (making them digital). According to the spreadsheet given to me they have several analog talkgroups also. Someone please correct me whether they are still valid or not.

Thanks,

-Wayne

It's weird. They (Los Rios Dispatch) ARE on the lower TG #, but the fleetmap shows the high number. There is very little activity on anything but their main channel, so it's hard to confirm the analogs, though they are listed on the fleetmap (thus the info is solid).

Is that just for SSD, or for other/all public safety agencies? Looks like I still have six months to save up for a 396, or I hope Santa Claus is good to me this Christmas.

Fleetmap or not, TGs can exist in the SAC yet not be programmed. Anywho, for those running Trunker or its variants, you can use that to verify if they are stil programmed or not.

Two additional control channels for each site.

Site 1: 868.9000 868.6625

Site 2: 868.5375 868.9625

These were obtained from an actual county MTS2000 codeplug that has been programmed to the C116 system. I noticed a bunch of other talkgroups in there as well but I need to print out all the data.

I added them but then realized, aren't the two older systems still online? If I leave them in there could be some confusion.

Yes the "older" systems ( 4428 & 4438 ) are still online, that is until the migration is complete by summers end.

The older system is losing channels, EGPD currently is operating on channel 5 of the new system, I cant get them on my old codeplug, I'm not sure where records is, I think they are on channel 10 of the new system, I did hear EGPD on channel on channel 4 of the old system last night but they changed to channel 10 for a brief time due to radio problems and my channel 10 didn't have them. One of my county contacts advised me that Roseville PD is also on the new system although I haven't seen it yet. The new codeplug I've been examining is a limited one that doesnt have everything in it.

Some SRCCS radios do have Roseville's TRS programmed. Roseville still operates their own radio system which is seperate from SRCCS. The Roseville TGIDs are not monitored on the SRCCS.

Any chance you can attach the codeplug in this thread (as zip file)? I'd like to take a look at it.

4428 is now offline, and has been since yesterday. Unless it comes back online soon, watch for 868.6625 and 868.900 to become CC's on Site 001 soon.

Cool, thanks for correcting that, I haven't listened to 4428 in a while.
