Sure they are. Just zip it up and post it here. .zip files are allowed.

Here you go.

FRMRS 1
868.9875 tone: 156.7

Appears to be patched with Talk Group FIRE A2
I asked BC1 about this today when we caught our arsonist. He said they're using Firemars because of the huge numbers or arson fires, to coordinate the responses. He said they've called in the heavy waterbombers in some places, so Firemars is getting lots of activity.

On a side note, it sounds like PR TAC1 or 2 will be patched with SD 4 on the 4th. SD 4 will be dedicated to Rancho, D5, and river operations. EGPD will be on SD 3 (or some other channel, but not SD 4). Hopefully this will alleviate some of our problem, but we still won't be able to talk to Metro or City Fire.

So, has anybody actually picked up any digital traffic on the new system yet? What talk groups have you heard stuff on?
I ask, because i just switched from a Pro 97 to a Pro 96 yesterday.

I'll have to try out Los Rios then and actually hear what it is all about. I'm waiting for the day when SSD, SPD, etc. start using digital. I suspect that paranoid Roseville PD will go digital soon as well. :)

I was also wrong about the 4th. Beginning at 1100 on 7-4-06, and ending sometime on the 5th:

RCPD/D5 will be on SD 4 (and patched to the old SD 4 on the 4328 system).
EGPD will be on SD 5 (yes, the records channel)
Records will be on SD 10

None of the Parks channels will be patched over, but ours are still programmed for the 4328 so we'll be able to talk to the SD 4 dispatcher.

Citrus Height PD TGID

It looks like the new Citrus Heights PD is TGID 48560 on the new system. Confirm?

That's what I'm hearing. They were supposed to start using their new talkgroups today. See kma371's attachment, (on post #421), for a pretty complete list of talkgroups on the new system.

I just wanted to say thanks to all of you posting to this thread. I'm not an active poster, being relatively new to scanning, but I do read through these threads to keep abreast of the changes going on in and around Sacramento. Of particular interest is Citrus Heights, and with the info you have provided, I am now listening to the new CHPD! And it IS hoppin'! Thanks again.

Thanks for the info. Kma371's attachment really helps. I'm a newbie to this stuff and have a question regarding this new system: I'm using a RS PRO-97 and have been picking up the trunked stuff on the old and transition system with no problems. When I have tried to integrate some of the new listed frequencies however, I can't get them to trunk. Is it operator error or is this new County system going to make my PRO-97 obsolete?
Thanks,
Eric

It could be a control channel problem. The only control channels in use on the new system are: 868.63750, and 868.82500, for site 1, and 868.73750, and 868.93750, for site 2. And the new system won't make your Pro-97 obsolete until, (or unless), every talkgroup goes digital.

is there any way?

is there any way that the zip file can be put onto don starrs win96 program or do I have to wait until the radio reference updates their information? should i just put in the ids manually? maybe that would be more efficient

I let my friend use my BC245XLT in order to monitor the traffic here in Sacramento on the old system before the change over that happened recently. In order to re-program this scanner, if it is still possible, I pose this.

My question would be:

With these 2 new sites, the RR database lists only the the Control Channels. Beyond the CC's, what other 800 mhz frequencies are a part of these systems?

Since the scanner that she is using cannot be used by programming only the CC's, I am looking for an alternate route for her to use this scanner before the re-banding session.

Thanks!!!

sac-emt - I have a 245 and I programmed in all the frequencies from the original city and county systems into new banks. I then locked out the "old" control channels. I have been doing it this way since the transition to the new system started and it works great. Just make sure the original city and county control channels are locked out. ;)

Has anyone verified TG's for Elk Grove PD? I'm in town now and am searching but no luck for certain yet. Thanks!

For now, Elk Grove PD is using Sheriff's South, (61616), and when they go to multi-channel south of the American River, (usually in the early-mid afternoon), they are on Sheriff East/EGPD/Rancho Cordova PD, (61648). They are identified as 7xx units no matter which channel they are on.
