Safe-T analog channels

Howdy, folks!!

I'm not understaing safe-T very well...hope you can help with a couple of basic questions.

I'm wanting to monitor the Safe-T analog groups, which I understand are the highway deptartment and mutual aid.

Do I enter all the Safe-T frequencies and lock out the digital talkgroups, or do I use these frequencies?

Just enter the SAFE-T control channel frequencies and the analog talkgroups only. I do not have a Pro-97. Does it have "control channel only" mode. If it does, that is what you want and you only need to enter the control channel frequencies.

I think you are looking at the wrong thing.

The SAFE-T analog channels are trunked just like the digital channels. You program your scanner as if you were programming any other analog trunked system. If your scanner can do control channel only trunk tracking, program just the control channel frequencies. When it comes to progamming talk groups, program just the analog talk groups because you won't be able to monitor the digital talk groups with an analog scanner.

The frequencies you posted are for the conventional non-trunked interoperability channels. You would program them like you would any other non-trunked system on VHF or UHF.

Note that the SAFE-T trunked frequencies are not the same as the SAFE-T conventional frequencies.
