SAFE-T P25 Thread

As another person posted in another thread that aptly applies here also.... "The State is involved there will be delays..."

We see this is very true.. Contract issues, as well as weather delays....
There is work going on in multiple phases of the system, and that is why the techs are not getting to do more than like 1 day per an area with radio touching. They will be insanely busy with having to make multiple returns to areas to get things caught up once the issues are all resolved. Also as has been noted, Motorola is doing at least 3 big jobs here in IN. SAFE-T, Lake County, being the two that are most on the "Rush Job" lists.

With the amount of things going on, over these next 2/3 years with everything from SAFE-T to the Madison County upgrades, I sometimes wonder how the guys keep sane lol.

Question, because I'm not familiar with software. Is there a way to run trunker or a similar program, without dedicating a p25 capable scanner to it? I don't want to shell out the money for a second one, if something else would work as well.

SDR. There is even an thread currently in the Pro96Com Yahoo! group about how to run SDR to Pro96Com. Not to mention you can get an PRO-96 for like $100 or less these days.
