Saia Colden site down?

Lost my reception to Saia Net colden site yesterday. I was hoping it would be back today. Everything else on my sds-150 and sds100 seems to be working just fine in regards to reception.
On a side note anyone have any tips to stop missing transmission on saia net mototrbo system. I have been playing with it for years. I have one site selected with one talkgroup selected. I have set the channel delay everywhere from -5 to 4. I have also adjusted the modulation. It seems there is a delay returning to control channel frequency and many times the second half of the transmission is on a different frequency. This delay returning to control channel and therfore switching to the new frequency being used causes many missed transmissions.

Well it was back all day yesterday and when I just checked it now it is acting weird. The control channel keeps dropping every few seconds the comes right back. BTW I am doing a site hold

That sounds like a TIII Cap Max CC in advantage mode. (I think that's the correct terminology)

Do you have the 03/27/2026 firmware updates (1.01.02 for SDS150 and 1.26.01 for SDS100)? It is supposed to fix some DMR glithces.

Yes both have the latest software, The new software for sds-150 did not fix issue with mototrbo systems. The best thing i found out was to create a site hold time of 0, channel tgid delay to 0 and if I scan three local sites that the specific talkgroup is affilated with i can capture 90 percent of the transmissions now. As soon as the unit calling stop transmitting the sds150 immediatley jumps to the next site and i can get the other half of the transmission on that site. When I used to just leave it on one site the delay returning to control channel would then cause sds1560 to jump to the new frequency and therefore miss the follow up transmission

What is your experience with the 150 vs the 100 on the desense and spurious response issues? In my high RF environmet the SDS 100 is only good for local systems. The various frimware updates have been an improvement since the original but still not very good.

the 150 is better at further distances. It is also better on weak signals. I did notice the signal meter and rssi values are very far apart between the two radios. For instance I can get Cattarugus county signal at -50 on sds100 but -80 on sds150. However even a very week signal comes in on the 150 where the 100 would not pick it up.. It is not perfect but better. I have a 800 mhz yagi facing east toward monroe/orlens county. The last few days I can pickup the monroe county west and east sites. Those sites are about 50-60 miles from me. Overall, the 150 does receive better than my 100 but there is room for improvement.

any negative setting forces the radio to go to scan again.
it waits that time in seconds and moves on.
so -5 gives you 5 seconds of sound and then leaves the frequency/channel/talkgroup.
the best is usually 2 to 3 seconds.

are you referring to the squelch or the channel delay? Sounds like you are referring to channel delay. I did play with the channel delay switching them between -5 and 0. My current setting of 0 seems to work well with my site system hold of 0.

Set Delay Time This sets (in seconds) the amount of time the scanner stays on a channel after the transmission has ended before moving to the next channel. A negative delay will force a resume after that number of seconds. The default setting is 2 seconds.

-10 -5, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, or 30 sec.

Set HOLD Time This sets (in seconds) the amount of time the scanner will scan the System before moving on to the next system. The default (and recommended) setting is 0 seconds.

Enter the hold time 0-255 (sec.) and press E/yes to save.
