Did you not submit the latest update to RR? I tried to grab the map but once again site 1 was in the grass here.

Cheers!

Bob
I have the latest repeater map, however keep in mind that not all repeater listed are actually installed/on the air. Some are "future use" and won't be listed in the database until they are confirmed active.

Repeater map is being sent over (at least) Attica site #2 today. Same version as posted above, 027C00.

OK when you say that are you talking just about new sites, or also about frequencies associated with sites that are on the air?

I'm looking at the site map, and there are 12 frequencies listed for site 16 (Rochester). The database has 8 ... but only 6 of those are in the site map!

If I recall correctly, unlike a P25 system, where the voice grants are, "go to frequency 461.7875", a DMR system just says, "go to LCN #5". Did I get that right? So in order to monitor one of the sites of this system, a scanner needs *all* the voice frequencies, and in the correct order. Either way, since Whistler scanners don't trunk-track DMR, you would absolutely need all the frequencies in order to listen on a Whistler.

I checked a couple more sites (North Buffalo and Bristol) and similar situation.

So should someone put in a request to have the frequencies updated, or is more evidence needed?

I'm talking about any or all sites in the system. The repeater maps for these Con+ systems tends to be optimistic. Not just SaiaNet, but every Con+ system I've ever dealt with, they were broadcasting more repeaters than were actually on the air. Just a general observation, don't always take the repeater map as gospel that all of the listed repeaters are active.

As far as the Rochester site, it looks like two repeaters have changed frequencies. 05 went from 452.0125 to 452.7375, and 07 from 461.8875 to 464.7875.

I'm sure the repeater map is probably correct, but I'm not changing the database solely on that alone. Someone needs to track the sites with DSD+ or whatever, and verify that the frequencies have actually changed. Then make a submission.

I am tracking Rochester now and will advise what I find.

As soon as I tuned it in DSD+ started "building network repeater map".

As has been the case in the past, the changed frequencies seem to be a moot issue since LCNs 5 & 7 are apparently not in service.
It has gone through several rotations of voice channel activity and LCNs 5 & 7 are not active. LCN 1 is broadcasting the map in slot 1 and voice in slot 2. LCN2 is the CC. Other active voice LCNs are 3 and 6

I've removed those two repeaters from the database. If they happen to ever come online, we'll add them back. No sense in having apparently unused repeaters listed, especially if the frequencies likely would've been stale anyway.

I haven't been paying much attention to that network, last map I captured was the May version noted above.

I just checked and like ATCTech the last map I have is from 5/6/20. I do have do instances of DSD running on that system 24/7

Has anyone received a recent repeater map for SaiaNet? @andyk62990? @ATCTech? Seems that the Syracuse site's channels may've changed recently.
Thanks, everyone for the responses. It appears that the 5/6 map is still valid and Syracuse is correct in the RRDB. The person I was attempting to assist with DSD+ not tracking and showing different LSNs apparently had a frequency file programming error (LCN vs LSN).

Yeah, last one I got was the one I posted. I don’t normally watch it anymore, but I’ll keep an eye out for one just in case stuff starts to shift around. I’ve mainly been trying to pay attention/monitor the new TIII system, but there’s been like next to no activity over the air, atleast from what I’m getting.

k2hz - Thanks for the fix for my DSDPlus.frequencies file. All is well now.

Interesting note - I ran the LCN Finder on my SDS200 all day and it never completed. It found 4/5. Maybe it didn't see enough traffic from the Syracuse site. Bottom line - my SDS200 tracks this DMR system quite well.

You're welcome ;)

There may only be four active repeaters at the site...nothing to worry about as long as you have the correct LCN assignment for the active ones.

Does anybody have a clue where this site is located? I found the control channel on 463.4125. DSDPlus Fastlane reports it as a Con+ with the following neighbors. My FCC search didn't pan out, but I may have missed something.

Current network: 171
Current site: 171-45
171-45 neighbor: Site 171-20
171-45 neighbor: Site 171-43
171-45 neighbor: Site 171-44
171-45 neighbor: Site 171-59
171-45 neighbor: Site 171-60

Please note that I did see multiple transmissions from TG=500301.

That is a site that is part of the One Voice network located in Walton Ny. They have the same network id but are not linked systems.

Thanks for the quick response! That is some crazy propagation to the NW corner of Oneida County.

I have been getting occasional traffic on Tompkins Paging channel over here in central Otsego Area. My home setup is less than ideal and suffers from electronic interference but I heard Dryden and Trumansburg as well as a fire alarm in Ithaca. I've never had that happen. The conditions must be pretty spectacular today.
