Has any one been able to listen in the saint George area to see if the new ucan was on line
in testing phase. they was to start testing this month.

What is the approximate feed point impedance at the center of a two-wire folded dipole antenna?

L3Harris have been testing the all back haul links. They sound like they are working south to north as much as possible.

From Provo I can hear some insane distance's with out vhf to 1200mhz antenna.
Scipo pass. Site 95 100% decode.
Dog Valley Site site 41 90ish Decode

And then the closer ones.
Utah Co. Simo like 30-50%

I have noticed on some of my older RS Pro-197's I have use attenuator to get any decode.(unless I use rubber duck antenna)

I have heard from local officers that there are some encrypted channels planned.
From what they know it will be some what controlled by dispatch or kinda like VECC does all event coordination.
They have some videos that are in 911uca. org .. But are not for the public.
Very few to none normal stuff will be encrypted. Just some Tac/Swat and drug or major crime stuff will be always be.

Anyone else got any new info?
