As an additional suggestion, if you currently have a credit card that automatically doubles the manufacturer's warranty for FREE, use that card for your scanner purchase and you will get 2 years of parts/labor coverage for FREE (instead of just the standard 1-year Uniden parts/labor warranty). I currently have credit cards issued by both American Express and Chase that offer that feature/benefit but check with your card issuer beforehand to see if it is available on your specific credit card. YMMV

Awesome folks to buy from. I picked up an Icom 2m. mobile rig from them last week. They are charging sales tax to states now.

I can only confirm that as of right now they are NOT charging sales tax on orders shipping to my state of Rhode Island (which has a 7% state sales tax). YMMV with shipping to any other states.

Unfortunately (for me), being in Texas means that the $617.49 sale price for the SDS100 would be a little over $668 after the $50.91 GCA is added. (GCA- Governor's cut of the action, i.e. 8.25% sales tax)

Maybe I should get a P.O. Box in Oklahoma, and try to dodge that.

They are the best. Just nice people to deal with. I have an sds200 and bcd996p2 and Alinco dmr from them at much much lower prices than others but you must follow them closely to get the deals. You may have to wait a few weeks for the deal but it is worth it.
