Hey guys,

Got a report that San Luis Obispo County Sheriff "Red" (Ch 4 - 460.05 MHz) is now P25 digital and encrypted.

Can anyone in the area confirm? If so can you also provide the NAC?

While we're at it, how are the other SLO County Sheriff frequencies?

Thanks!

This is not accurate. My sources indicate there is no plan to encrypt any currently used Sheriff channels.
Very glad to hear this. I have asked the anonymous submitter to provide more proof of this claim, but based on the feedback from you guys I’m guessing it was a mistake or mixup. Thanks for the help keeping the database accurate! :)

Encryption in SLO has put one "first amendment auditor" (frauditor) ,out of business.

Most will agree it's a good thing that SLO Observer is "retiring".

All you got to do is program in their input frequencies and you will still get the machine gunning data sound P25 bursts on the inputs and you will know they are around close by or on a P25 scanner on the inputs you will get the garble sound.:ROFLMAO:
