Hello I'm just wondering if anyone has any information about San Patricio County S.O. in South Texas going to a trunked radio system?

They would definatly be creating some interop issues if they do that....

I hear that they received a Fed grant to upgrade the sys. Not sure when or what type, I will let you know.

based on what i know, it's gonna be ProVoice-capable.

so, if they decide to run digital, you can kiss your listening habits for San Patricio County goodbye!

Many users are not using the system as they should. Some of the depts. only purchased mobiles and not handheld units. I hear there was not enough grant $$$. I would keep that old VHF around.
