Just looking to see if anyone knows of any departments that do a Santa Bolo on Christmas Eve in the middlesex county area. I think MA state police did one on a statewide freq last year but I can’t remember around what time. Thanks in advance!

While not in the area you are looking for, this is an incredible statewide Santa Sighting you might want to give a listen to.

Here's my signature "out of the area chiming in". Yes I realize this is nowhere near Massachusetts but Lehigh County, PA makes it their annual tradition. I captured theirs from 2022. Hope to do it again tomorrow night, hopefully much clearer this time

I know Boston PD did it on Citywide 1. Now they are Encrypted. I believe they do one on BAPERN Areawide 3. Might as well keep your ears on all BAPERN channels. Some Local PDs and FDs also broadcast BOLOs.

Boston PD maybe be encrypted but you can still listen online via their RapidSOS feed.

If they do all channels, one (or two?) of their channels are patched to the MSP system and comes through clear. I forget which talkgroup.
Which TG? As Boston PD has not been found in the CLR on the MSP/ComIRS 700/800 - outside of BAPERN (Mutual Aid)

Maybe it was BAPERN then, I stand corrected.
I recall driving in on 93 and hearing the 'Boston all channels' sign off at the end; very well could've been BAPERN I was catching. Unless it was on MSP Zone 1? I don't record on the SDS100 so I don't have a way of pulling it up.

The santa BOLO was on AW4 as previously stated, that TG is patched to A/H Simulcast. It was a BPD dispatcher which is why the voice probably sounded so familiar to those who listen to BPD either when it was analog or now via the feeds.
If you hear "Boston all channels" at the end then that means that the announcement when out over the mulitselect to all BPD encrypted channels as well just like when they do a call for the BEST team or a overtime shift announcement.
