Regarding the recent changes to the Santa Clara County Fire freqs:

The new 700 MHz low power tacticals show mode "FMN" and 156.7 PL, shouldn't they be mode "P25" and have a corresponding NAC code (293 perhaps)? I was under the impression that all 700 MHz stuff was digital...

It seems like the agency that is using those Low Powers so far is San Jose. I was too far to hear anything but it was referenced on the air. The command channel names seem to be a hit and miss. I'm still hearing some of the old channel names, although I did hear units referencing a "Command 92" at a 4 alarm fire in Santa Clara a few weeks ago.
