What is the difference between County 911, Sheriff and NY State Park Police. I am guessing the NYS Police in in there someplace since the county dispatches them. Just curious. If I knew the specifics I would tag the TG ID to the correct identity. Thank you.

They are tagged to the talkgroup as listed? hearing them on the county 911 polling talkgroup? Thats where the mentioned units could come up for a 911ing call among various SP units monitoring. They are the various units that will come up on that talkgroup who are available to answer 911 calls, among their own talkgroups they have.

State Park Police are a separate entity from NYSP. They have their own talkgroup, which was quite active this past weekend with the Saratoga State Park being extremely busy.

9-1-1 polling is where the dispatchers announce pending calls and look for nearby units of any law enforcement agency to respond.

Thank you. That pretty much confirms what I thought but was never 100 percent sure. Just hope they don't decide to encrypt.

They won’t go E… and county 911 is actually simulcast on VHF analog as well.
