BCD325P2/BCD996P2: Scan only IDs

Hello all,

I am not new to scanning, but I am new to the BCD996P2. I have many trunked systems programed in to scan IDs and a few conventional. All programmed just fine, quick keys assigned, and scanning. I see the systems being scanned but I also see the public safety search on the screen. I only want to scan the system that I select. How do I get rid of the public safety scan? Thanks in advance.

That would be a service search.
I'm sorry I don't have mine right in front of me at the moment to figure it out, but it would probably be in the service search menu.
Also check the manual.

Might be a quick key assigned to 'public safety' service search???

press hold button, scroll thru the systems with the big knob until you come to public safety, press the func button (big round knob) once and while the "f" is displayed on the screen press the l/o button twice in rapid succession and that will lock out the public safety system.

its in there you just need to know where to look, hint its under lockout.

You can also press "menu", search for, edit service, public safety, search with scan , lockout, but that's the long form !!!
