Oh, yeah it's true. Expect the reception to be sort of crappy in these ranges though because Radioshack didn't design the PRO-95/93 to work on these freqs.

Some guy on ebay is even trying to sell this "software mod" that will unlock "secret" freqs that the FBI, DEA, ATF, etc uses. All this "mod" is, is a .p95 file where ANYONE can unlock these freqs. Also FBI, DEA, ATF, CIA, well, they are all encrypted. I just felt like saying that. :D

n4foxgill, I think he is talking about inputting out-of-band freqs, like entering the mil-air band.

All you gotta do is bring up Win95 and put in a freq like 223.50 or whatever, and upload it to the scanner. It should work. I suppose you already have win95......

Cool. well just grad a freq that you want to program from the mil-air band, And use Win95 to program the freqs, and upload it to the scanner. Works for me. :D

Not "all" FBI, DEA, and ATF comms are encrypted. I listen to FBI, and US Border Partrol comms in the clear every day.

The post by XXXXXX that was above mine was the one i was referring to. It has since been removed. I made my response due to them calling everyone "removed". and carrying on about how we are all morons, etc. I reported the post to the mods, and it had showed up yesterday as a new post on my end. So maybe it was 4 months old, but when i read the topic the new post was there. Since its now been removed. It's not a big deal.

...If my post was *Wrong* in some way then thats fine. But i dont see how mine is worse then this XXXXXXXX person calling everyone "removed" and Morons, etc.

Heres the link to the thread im talkin about-

No need to contact you in private. I will appologize in public when I err. Consider this a public appology. And no, I did not see anything which warrented your comments or I wouldn't have posted as I did.

However, to stop the madness, this thread will be edited by me, to remove the non-sense and then closed.

Once again, sorry for jumping the way I did.
