I have a Uniden 996 BCD996T. I'm in central Oklahoma and pick up frequencies in the 208.000 - 209.000 range that breaks my squelch even when it's turned up all the way. No voice or tones just static, any idea's what it is or how to stop it, maybe using some type of filter ?

I have my scanner on my computer desk probably 2 ft. from my computer monitor and tower, could that be a possible source of my interference? Is it a good practice to have my scanner NOT near my computer or other electronics ? Thanks for any help with this

Yes, computers, monitors, electronics in general give off RFI. Either move it away or lockout as needed.

I get lots of interference that hangs up the scanner when in the car. Most of it is from the aircraft band and business band.

Scanner interference

Thanks for the advice, I'll move my scanner and see if that does the trick
