This is a little late as I was doing some tests to see why that is occurring. In summary, the problem is when using identical scanners and identical databases, the memory in the scanners may show different when using ProScan. Why it's not appearing in Freescan is because Freescan sends a CLR command when the option "Erase All Systems & Settings" is set. That is equivalent to a factory reset. ProScan was doing a DSY (Delete System) on each system. I did some stress testing consisting of uploading 100 times, 100 systems and 5000 channels and deleting the systems before uploading. About 2% of the time, the scanner would show a memory difference even when the scanners don't show any systems programmed. I think there is some sort of bug in the DMA scanners. Perhaps a channel is not released fully. Next version is going to use the CLR command.Good afternoon to all. Let me start by saying that I own 3 BCD996P2 radios and 1 BCD325P2. Every year about this time, I go through the programming and make sure everything is "up to snuff", so to speak. Well I just finished doing that. I use Proscan for all of my programming and each radio is programmed exactly the same using the same file. One in my house, one in my car, and one in my truck. Also, the same program is used on the 325. I just finished going from one radio to the next with my laptop in my hand. When uploading the programming to the radios, one of the 996's said it has 16% of the memory used. The other 2 said 7%, and the 325 said 9%. Is there a reason that the memory usage is different? I thought they were all the same.
EDIT: I also used the option "Delete everything in the scanner that is not in the database" when I did it.
