I have a pro-97 and my mom is jealous so I bought her a used pro-95 off ebay (MISTAKE) the dill weed sent me a defective radio... The problem is , near as I can tell, a short in the volume knob. I'll post a video on youtube as soon as is is online and comment with URL.

What I need to know from all you radio nerds ( meant with love) is whether or not it is even senceable to repair this thing.. or should I fight to get a refund...?

I have a PRO-67 that turns on but it doesn't put out any sound. If I put my ear right up to the speaker I can faintly hear the signal. Opened it up, but im not very techincaly inclined.

Have you tried an external speaker? I bought a Pro-95 from and Ebay seller that had sound problems as well, I just went and grabbed a cheap 1/8th inch jack speaker from Radio Shack and it did the trick. If the volume will not work at all I think a simple rayostat replacement for the volume knob would solve your problem. I could be wrong. This is the place to get help though!

If you are not technically inclined you can drop it off at radio shack and they will send it in and have them call you before they repair it. Otherwise you just need to find another volume control part, variable resistor and see if that fixes it.

Be more specific with your info next time and that might help us understand what you mean.
If you just say that you have a problem with your 67 and then say you don't know anything about them then you aren't being as clear as you're meaning to be.

Anyway... after watching that video I noticed that it did have the same problem as his pro-95. Im not to concerned about it because I have 3 other radios, but it would be nice to find out why it's doing that.
