Scanner software for RTL2832U

I need a scanner software that can be used to scan and store frequencies like a real scanner using the RTL2832U dongle. I am using SDR# but can it be used as a scanner?

I did follow the instructions but it didn't work for me. Please share the working SDR# package with the plugin in a zip file here.
