Scanner splitter or diplexer?

Ubbe, I am going two separate runs of LMR400. What I pay out in coax, I'll make up by not buying preamps, diplexers, splitters ect. Each radio will have it's own antenna. I'll just have to do some reprogramming and swapping frequencies to match the antennas.. Not a big deal. I'll see the difference i'm sure, better still, I better!

Have their programming identical at first, while evaluating. When you notice bad reception from one scanner while the other receives the same frequency or site fine, then edit the programming to remove that frequency or site from the scanner or programming software. It's not always the antenna you thought would be best that receives the best signal.
