Scanner stops but no audio

I finally got my Gre PSR 500 programmed and seems to track really well with our states system http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=2315 Now there are sometimes, which seems like on a certain tower site, the scanner will stop and a talkgroup will show up but there will be no audio, this has happened several times. I have a Radio Shack Pro 2096 that I listen to next to my psr500 and that one you hear the audio but nothing out of the psr500. Anyone know what would cause this and what to do about it. I have updated all firmware to current.

See if turning the attenuation on the PSR-500 helps.

That happens on my Pro-97 while monitoring the NJ State Police 800mhz trunked system. It always stops on the same frequency and no audio. Sometimes when I turn on the attenuator, I can hear the audio but scratchy. You should try that... I think it's a problem with the tower and my location.

I think it shows "G" but I am not certain, I will watch tonight and confirm. What should it be?
