The April issue of The Spectrum Monitor looks pretty good... the May and June issues don't do much for me though.

Been a TSM subscriber ever since it began. Ken Reitz is an old-timer in the hobby and has a prodigious amount of knowledge of radio from DC to daylight.

Okay now...who remembers Ham Trader Yellow Sheets? It was a buy-sell-trade periodical printed on yellow paper by a 9-land ham? Also...the LIDXA (Long Island DX Association) newsletter for SWLs?

One more - John Kakstys (W2FNT, a Silent Key, RIP), from NJ used to publish a newsletter of ham radio items for sale, plus you'd see him at hamfests selling equipment.

Thanks for all the great memories.

I was a subscriber to Popular Communications magazine for many years. The cover of TSM looks very reminiscent of Pop Comm. At least there is one good magazine left that is dedicated to the monitoring hobby,

I remember hearing about Ham Trader and UDXA, but never subscribed to either.

Now, John Kakstys does ring familiar. I used to go to the Sussex Ham Fest back in the mid-late 90's with a good friend of mine, who was also a ham, who lived near Jefferson, NJ. The Sussex show was always a good time, lots of vendors.
