Scanner Wrong Kind ?

Hi Guys,

I have a Alinco DJX2000 and live in colorado springs... man..the airwaves are void here..why cant i find anything to listen to... Do I have the Wrong kind of Scanner ?

Check your individual state and county set ups in the RR database. You may be in an area where they have a digital TRS. The Alinco receiver will not do much good for that. It will pick up air, most railroads, some EMS among other things. Using the data base will be the best way to see what is available.

Looks like El Paso County has mostly Digital systems ...

You need to get a digital scanner.
