Hi,

I am trying to program a Pro-82. I downloaded the zip file from this site but windows7 is unable to open it. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

You should be using WinZip or it's freeware cousin, 7-Zip to unzip files. File explorer has been known to corrupt files when unzipping. You'll easily find these utilities using a Google search...Mike

That worked!

I tried the 7Z program (apparently after) using Windows. I have never seen Windows corrupt a zip file when trying to open it. I deleted and re downloaded the zip and it worked! A first for me.

I did not see a Pro-82 in the list of available scanners. It sure would be nice to be sure that the software will program the Pro-82 before purchase.

There used to be a program called 'ProLink' that programmed these really old scanners, but I think it's no longer available. Much as I hate to say it, because the software is infamous for being very flaky, but Scancat Lite Plus can handle this radio.
