Unsure about scanners-r-us.....but you might want to check into www.usascan.com - I started purchasing from them 3 years ago....they typically have outstanding customer service and the cheapest prices around. Units arrive about 2-3 business days after the order is placed. I would highly rec them. ScannersUnlimited, out of CA, is another great establishment w/ superior cust service.

I just bought a BC898T from them and no problems. Shipping took 2 days.

I just purchased a 796d from Ham Radio Outlet www.hamradio.com
and received it in 2 days. HRO has no shipping costs on items over $100
and the scanner was reasonably priced.
