Scanning GSP in Georgia.

What is the best antenna to pick up freq. from 150.000 to 156.000.. Which is the Georgia State Patrol .. I'm in South Georgia in a field with no trees. Any help would be appreciated.

How are you going to monitor GSP? You realize that they use P-25 on all dispatches?
Other than that, any VHF Hi antenna will work to hear them.

I have a Whistler TRX 2 that picks it up. I just wondered if its another antenna that would be better

If you are picking up your post with the stock antenna on the radio, you are fine. The dispatch/communication center is in Americus, GA, but can dispatch on all of the troop's frequencies.

Fun to follow them on the weekends.

Any two meter ham antenna will work well. Height helps as well.
