Hello. I tried to program the Salem Co. TRS on my Pro-164, and had trouble doing so. I also saw another person have the same problem and they asked on the RadioShack forum, but nobody answered up.
I put in all the Control channels in the frequency bank, programmed them as Motorola frequencies. I also programmed the Motorola system as a UHF and put in the base and offset information. I also programmed some talkgroups into the banks. When I scan the system I get nothing, no transmissions, audio, frequencies or talkgroups. When I press the MAN button, I receive a strong signal on the control channel (surprising for being so far away!! :]) and the system ID. But no talkgroup numbers or transmissions. That is even while I had the BCD396T next to me also scanning the system, so I knew there was traffic on the system. What am I doing wrong? }:>( Does anyone scanning the system with a Pro-164/Pro-97 know how to do it?
