I use SDR# on a Windows 7 machine with an AirSpy and it works great. I wanted to work with P25 so I ordered a pair of SDR-RTL Dongles and downloaded SDRTrunk. SDRTrunk of course uses Java and I can not get Windows 11 to get past the MS Defender Error so I switched to my Windows 7 machine and everything goes as planned but SDRTrunk can errors on the 2 SDR-RTL Dongles.

Is this some issue with the device driver procedure you go thru with SDR# to get the AirSpy to work correctly? Is there some way to either get around the Defender error on Windows 11 or get SDR#/AirSpy combo to live on the same Windows 7 platform with SDRTrunk.

Or is the soluiton to to the UniTrunk route withe DDSPlus?

I did for the AirSpy, so I need to switch device drivers to go back to the RDL-SDR dongles?
I don't follow. Airspy and RTL have no connection to each other and no effect on each other, so I don't understand your "so I need to switch device drivers to go back to the RDL-SDR dongles?" question.

Airspy usually shouldn't need a device driver installed. RTL dongles always need the correct device driver install via Zadig.

I got it figured out. It was the device driver that was causing the issue. Also I discovered that if you run SDR-trunk.bat from a command line instead of Explorer it will get around the MS Defender error.

Many thanks for the reply, I got everything running once I figured out the driver issue and also discovered one of the RDL-SDR Dongles was defective....

I run SDR Trunk off a gaming laptop and it works great... 4 dongles in a custom box with cooling I made.

I had an issue with a nooelec I got from Amazon, but then again I got 4 no-name rebrand nooelecs that work great! and I can always swap in replacements if needed!
