Used SDR for years on P25 stuff but need to listen to 2 analog channels and no matter what I do they show call on the channel and static on speaker. I am guessing its a SQ setting but if I change the number up or down it does nothing. Then will lock me from changing. Most are -78 now. Thoughts ? vhf frequency.

I know that in 0.6.1 final and prior versions, squelch is kind of wonky. I believe in the nightlys it is supposed to be improved (but then you might find difficult in the nightlys with other things).

I have been running 0.6.1 final and have no trouble getting things squelched on analog channels. The only thing I have a problem with on analog using 0.6.1 final is a long annoying squelch tail -- which presumably is what is fixed in nightly versions. But I'm sticking with 0.6.1 final.

Perhaps you are just misunderstanding how the squelch adjustment works, or have it autotracking.

I'm posting a screenshot of mine. Although it's relatively useless since everybody's squelch setting wiill be different based upon both the noise floor and the SNR of the signal you are monitoring.

OK. Thanks. I was missing that screen, well not missing but never looked there. I was chagning it in the playlist editor screen. I was able to get them to go to idle. Let me see how it goes now.
