1409 was just released...at first glance it seemed to fix the problem but when you select RTL-SDR USB, then go into the config, the dropdown is grayed out and the gain control looks......strange.

1410 did not resolve the issue, after a clean install.

Pictured is the config screen. Obviously something isn't right, besides the fact that my stick isn't a E4000.

Spleen, in your SDR# folder did you click and run "install-rtlsdr"? If not, it will give you the error message in your first screenshot, and the configuration window will be grayed out like in your second screenshot.

Anyone else have some problems when tuning with your mousewheel?
SDR# is in free tuning mode, NFM, 8 khz BW and 500 Hz step size. In this case, you can tune the RX frequency where you want, except when the mouse pointer is over the audio spectrum. If you're changing the step size to 12,5 khz and the mouse is over the spectrum analyzer, you can tune it as above. If you're mouse pointer is over the waterfall, you can only tune 10 steps from the lowest to the highest frequency. Moving the mouse over the IF spectrum, you can tune free like it's over the spectrum analyzer.
If I'm changing step size to 10 Hz, I can only tune one step with the mousewheel, if the pointer is over the spectrum analyzer or the waterfall. If it's over the IF spectrum, there is no limitation and I can tune the frequency over the whole band.
I was first in doubt, whether the driver of my Logitech mouse is guilty, but since it depends on the step size chosen in SDR#, I think there is a bug in one of the last updates.

minor issue with r1410.
when the spectrum analyzer and/or waterfall are selected to be displayed, then minimizing the software, the CPU usage does not decrease more than 5% from its initial state when maximized.
you are better off selecting "none" as the display if you are not actively using the graphs.
additionally, the "advanced noise reduction" does not appear to be functional.
anyone else have this issue ?
i am using a funcube+.

That was it. When I blew away the old install I forgot to save the rtlsdr.dll file...

Thanks!

Just as a tip that I know people are already aware of but it can't hurt:

If you're into using SDR# and you update it frequently or whenever new builds become available, make damned sure you're saving the old archive files someplace safe, labeled so you know what's what. ;)
