I have been running the 2 for a long while now. Today I was scanning a range using the freq man plugin. Everything has been fine all along. Today it seemed a little quiet. I just noticed that when scanning a range, with the plugin thats been working fine all along, its not spacing @ 12.5khz. Its closer to 1.6 megahertz. 1.6375 to be exact. I triple checked the step size in the freq man config and also sdsharps step was also set to 12.5. My sample rate is as always been 2048 msps and did not seem to make any difference other than being able to see more spectrum setting higher and less setting it lower. The dongle is a 20 ebay and the ppm is correct. The machine is a win 7 64 bit with Intel dual core 2.80 ghz and 8 gig of ram.

If I manually scroll thru the spectrum, it works fine. But while scanning a range, its way off. For example, scanning uhf tband, with a 12.5 khz step results from it going from 492.100000 to 493.737500, then 495.375000, then 497.012500 etc . Manually scrolling up from 492.100000 goes to 492.112500 then 492.125000

Has anyone ever seen this before?

Thanks

Just a correction,

Its while using the frequency scanner, not the frequency manager as I stated.

I just tried another dongle and its doing the same thing. I also noticed its also not changing to AM when scanning the air band. I looked thru the scanner entries xml and the modes and steps are correct. What on earth would make it do this? I even reinstalled the driver for the dongle.

Both 1391 and 1400 are long obsolete versions. The current is 1444. Does the issue exist in it? I seriously doubt they would fix old versions.

That said, are you talking about where it stops or the center frequency shown on the top? The program displays the center frequency of the sweep which will evaluate many 12.5 kHz steps in the same sweep. 1.6 Mhz sweeps sounds about right for the dongles.
