Put the folder directly on your C:\ and try it.

You might want to do this with r1450 instead. I want you to download and install it a certain way:

  1. Download SDR# r1450 from http://airspy.com/?ddownload=3130
  2. Extract all the files listed to C:\SDRSharp\r1450
  3. Go to C:\SDRSharp\r1450 and run install-rtlsdr.bat
  4. Go up to C:\SDRSharp and copy the r1450 folder. Paste it a couple of times to C:\SDRSharp.
  5. Reopen the r1450 folder and run SDRSharp.exe

DO NOT INSTALL ANY PLUGINS until you know it works.

Well I am out of ideas. I guess as a last resort, uninstall .Net 4.5 and 4.6 listed, install from the link I gave you, and see if it works.

OK... I am not out of ideas quite yet...

In the r1450 folder, do you have a crash.txt file? What does it say? You might put its text on pastebin.com and share the link to it here.

Also, check your playback and recording properties. On the properties of each device, set the Default Format to 2 channel, 16-bit, 48000 Hz on the Advanced tab.

This is the crash log. I have had the same result with both 4 and 8 gig of ram. And I have no issues with any other programs

And have you tried uninstalling every Microsoft .Net 4.X version you have installed? Do that, reboot your computer, and then install the version I linked to a few posts back.

SDR# outputs at 48000 Hz so go ahead and set your audio devices to that output.

It says,
Faulting module name: vrfcore.dll, version: 10.0.10586.212, time stamp: 0x56fa24d5

Sdrsharp runs fine on my laptop and I searched that and that dll is not on my laptop..

Don't make it worse by guessing on crappy Error logs. Do the .Net 4.X removal and reinstall in my previous post. Every error you have reported is either related (and possibly both) related to .Net 4.6 and sound settings.

You can get to your audio devices opening the Control Panel and going to Hardware & Sound. You'll see "Manage audio devices" under Sound.

If the above doesn't work, you are probably looking at a Windows 7 reinstall.

If i wanted to wipe ALL .net from my system, how exactly is that done? Some shows in add and remove features and some is in programs and features. I am running 64 bit win 7. Do I need the x86 also? I would imagine sdrsharp is 32bit.

You just need to uninstall the 4.X versions of .Net listed in Programs & Features. You also need both x86 (for 32-bit programs) and x64 (for 64-bit programs). Don't worry about removing all .Net versions. Just do the 4.X versions you have installed.

I got rid of as much as I could. Now 1443 is saying it needs .net v 4.30316. Ok, now we are getting somewhere..

Also in programs and features, it never listed anything higher than 3.5. NO 4X in there.. I just enabled 3.5 in turn features on and off. Gonna reboot and install version 4 brb

Windows Update will eventually .Net 3.5 to whatever the latest version is of 3.5. The same will happen when you install .Net 4.6.

Remove those 4.6 versions in your picture.

Ok when 3.5 was enabled, and tried to open sdr 1443, it said it needed 4.30316. Ok, I just installed that from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17718. I tried 1443 and it threw a different message,
