I just got a Nooelec NESDR SMArt v5 dongle and trying to figure it all out so I apologize in advance for the newb question.

I got SDRTrunk up and running with P25 for my area here in Arkansas, but I am not seeing the Alias listed except for State agencies in the scan mode.
I have checked my channel list and Talkgroups as well as Identifiers, but I am stumped on why they are not showing.
I am pretty sure that I have missed a check box or something simple but still not finding it.
Any suggestions?

System setup
Win11

I'm not sure I understand your question, but you will need an additional sdr to reach the majority of the traffic channels on this system / site.

Why do you say that? I have one dongle running a multiple frequency site and does just fine. Not this one though.

Is this the site you are monitoring?

If so and the primary control channel is 853.7375 as shown in you screenshot, 851.650, 856.4625, 857.0625, 857.5625, 857.9875, and 858.9875 would be beyond 80% of the 2.4 MHz bandwidth of your only sdr. The frequencies above ~855.600 MHz would be untunable, and likely 851.650 as well.

Yes that looks like the site I am monitoring. I broke it down into 3 alias lists in 3 Talkgroups.
Basically, I just want Cabot PD, Lonoke County PD and State (Troop A) monitoring. I deleted a bunch of other freqs that got imported that I don't want.
I actually have 2 dongles but only using 1 at the moment on my laptop. I have been playing around with the other 1 on my desktop pc trying to figure all this out.

He is telling you that you need to use more than one dongle. One dongle can do about 2.4MHz. The site your monitoring is 7.3375 MHz

Can be done very easily by setting all other tg's to not record and not listen.

They will no show up as unknown and will play since they are not in your aliases list.

Did you mean talk groups? If you delete freqs, you will have other problems.

Best thing to do, in addition to adding a second dongle, is scrap those 3 alias lists, redownload the whole alias list from database and set listen and record to off on all tg's of non interest. Leave only Cabo, Lonoke and State with listen / record ON.

@dave3825 Thanks for the suggestions. I will scrap it and start over.
Can you tell me more about the record setting as to what it actually does?

Great advice right there. It is very easy to go through the record tab and simply check what you want and place in the "record" column

Record will record all calls on your talk groups of interest for playback at any time based on how long you decide to keep recordings. You can install radio scanner or trunking recorder for playback.

I believe I got it setup correctly now. Just wanted to say thanks for all the feedback. Very much appreciated!!
Awesome. Now add Rdio. Most useful thing ive put together. Im never been a fan of "streaming" due to the lack of control. But the Rdio app is great.
