Just unplug it and plug it back in. That may fix the new issue as now that you have the correct driver installed.

Ah I see. As this is a remotely located PC I can't do that immediately, but I will post an update on here once I do. Thank you for your help

I can indeed remotely restart it, and that did the trick! I can now lock on to the control channel once again and the spectrum looks normal. Thank you!

I will play with some power options and see if that helps my initial freezing problem. I really appreciate all the help thus far!

I think the second problem was a result of changing the driver and not either unplugging and reseating the dongle and or restarting the pc which in the end, associates the correct driver with the dongle. So basically the dongle was confused.

Ah I see. That makes sense. I wonder if having the wrong driver initially could have caused the freezing issue?
