My System:
Raspberry Pi 4B mounted in a 10" touch screen display.
4GB of memory.
OS is Debian GNU/Linux 13.3 (Trixie).
RTL-SDR Blog V4.
SDRTrunk version 0.6.1 final release.

Here is the issue, I start SDRTrunk and it starts scanning and receiving broadcasts, but after a while, it stops scanning/receiving.
Under the playlist editor, the play button is active as STOP and under the Playing column, it has a green check mark that it is still playing.
On the main screen, the control channel is there, but not showing any activity.
I'm at a loss here as I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times.
I've done all the updates and upgrades.
Rebooted multiple times.

Was it working before, or has it never worked correctly? If it was before, but not now, identify what's been changed in the system/software since then, as a first step.

The only issue I had before was not having any audio.
I resolved that issue.
Other than that, it has been the same with the signals coming through initially, then timing out where nothing was coming through.

Better spec'ed hardware will give you better results. SDRT does have memory leaks and will fill up 4 Gb over time and require restarts - have you run htop (or similar) to check resource usage? Any reason why you are using Debian vs. the standard Raspberry Pi OS?

What hardware would you recommend?
I am new to the Pi and have no idea what top is.
When I installed Debian, it was what the Pi Imager recommended.
Which OS should I use?
Oh. And how do I stop of fix the leaks?
Thanks for your help.

In my experience, a mini PC is a better option than a Raspberry Pi - Pi's simply don't have the resources to run SDR Trunk adequately. "Adequately" is a user-defined term; for me I demand that software runs flawlessly for days without intervention. That usually requires hardware with more than the minimum specs to run the software. I haven't imaged a Pi for about 2 years, but offer have a basic Raspberry Pi OS, and not the full Trixie version - not sure which one you are using. "htop" is a Linux utility that shows resource usage. It is included with most Linux distros, or can be installed easily via the terminal. I suggest a bit of internet research about how to use the tool.

I recently installed SDRTrunk and have it running on an Evolve III Maestro mini laptop and still having the same issues as was on the Pi.
I hit the play button and start receiving signals/dispatches.
Then after a while, info stops coming in, despite it still being in play mode.

Not sure of the specs of the Evolve III machine, but I have the latest non-beta release running for days at a time on a PC class machine, 12th gen i7 with 16Gb of ram. I'm using 2 Airspys monitoring and recording 4 systems: 2 700 MHz, 2 800 MHz systems. My point is that my PC is more or less over spec'ed, not comparatively under powered. SDRT seems happy when over-resourced.

Evolve III Maestro mini laptop
Wouldn't really say this is much of an upgrade - it's using a 10 year old, extremely low end processor that was basically pulled out of dumpsters to make these laptops, which are aimed at people to browse the internet and write word files.

Yeah.
I got it at MicroCenter real cheap and was using it for logging ham radio and browsing the net.
Although slow, it worked well for everything I was using it for.
But SDRTrunk does not want to cooperate with my Pi or Maestro.
I don't want to spend money for new hardware just to set up a scanner, so I am trying to make these work.
I guess the SDRTrunk software needs revamping so there are no leaks.
I guess I'm SOL with this software.

This will be a Phase 2 system.
