Anyone have any opinions on the newer SDRConnect software? How about in comparison to the SDRUno software. Too soon to compare?

I find the Connect is simpler to use, but feel that some of the capabilities of Uno are missing.....or maybe still in the build stages of Connect.

What say you?

Still in the building stage, the next release will have more bells and whistles.

I find that Connect is the only way to go for my computers. Uno does not display properly on my Windows 11 laptop and desktop machines. With Uno, certain controls do no not show or they overlap each other so it’s impossible to use. It must only be me as I don’t see anyone else complain of this but it happens on both of my computers. Connect displays and works fine for my RSP1A.

Both my laptop and desktop are Dell and they both display the same problem. Mainly with the RX Control window. Notice the frequency display and the buttons below it.

Same here. I have even tried changing the program’s compatibility and DPI settings but nothing helps. Doesn’t really matter as Connect works fine for me.

Real Strang, you may want to try asking on SDRplay Group , I have received a lot of help on this group.

Also sort of looks like your band buttons are cut off on their right edges. Or is that just an issue with the photo?

Yes, band buttons are wrongly displayed too. S meter is cut off as well. Just not usable for me.

Well, I checked it out, and it does seem rather basic, not even a scanning function, at least that I could find. Maybe over time it'll develop more. I can see it being useful to newbies that don't know which modes are usually used in certain frequency ranges, but they'll also have to untoggle the button to keep tuning past the preset limits. For simple tuning style listening it's nice. I did enjoy the ease of installation, it's so simple (like SDRuno) that a chimpanzee with a hangover could install it. However I'll stuik with SDRuno until something more feature packed catches my attention it is as easy to install.

I have both installed and agree the Connect is very simple to use. However, as someone said, it is a work in progress. I hope that it takes on some of the features of Uno along with the almost universal connectivity of Connect. I never got too deeply into the rabbit holes of Uno but see that there are huge features there still to explore. I guess the hope is that the Connect will eventually have all the bells and whistles of Uno including the many set ups for the spectrum and waterfall displays that help with identification of various types of signals.
Waiting on release #3, hope its out soon.

SDRuno displays correctly on mine. You're not aligning and resizing correctly. Nothing wrong with SDRuno. It is not impossible to use once the modules are positioned and resized to fit from edge to edge.

I know well SDRuno on Windows 11 looks great!

The main advantage of Connect over Uno (at the moment at least) is remote use over a network.

As others have mentioned, Connect is still a work in progress, but it will eventually become the default once it matures.

This is just a wild guess, and you've probably already checked this out, but is there a display setting on the PC and laptop that allows you to specify what monitor and monitor driver is being used? I seem to recall a selection which included auto detect. Again, sort of desperation guess here.

When I have more time, I'm going to have to check the settings of both programs. For some reason CONNECT is doing a better job on SW than UNO. I was using WWV as a test, and CONNECT was doing a better job, but I had the gain maxed on on UNO, so...

I have both installed.
I still prefer UNO.
Connect is more versatile.
It will get better and have more functions with future updates.
There is an issue they both have that I dont like.
You cant move the pointer/curser with the left - right arrow keys as you can in SDR Console

I prefer the UNO software as well. Sadly though I'm still getting better results with my Eton Elite Executive using the built-in rod antenna than I am with my RSP1, hopefully that will change this spring when I install the outside loop antenna.

There is one thing I really like about the SDRconnect software... I can take the whole thing and slide it over to the other monitor. With SDRuno they are all individual portions that cannot seem to be locked together... unless I'm missing something.
