This is true. I returned a defective TRX-1 to Bearcat Warehouse a couple of years ago and they would not provide a return shipping label. As much as I’d like to support smaller dealers, I now only buy scanners from Amazon Prime sellers. Every one of the smaller scanner dealers have tons of red tape and exclusions on returns. I won’t deal with that potential headache again. Not when Amazon, Walmart, HD will accept a return no questions asked and without fees.

Absolutely agree with this and have been saying the same. Walmart gives you 90 days no questions asked. They provide a return shipping label or you just walk in to the store and return it.

Well Bearcat Warehouse just sent me ANOTHER battery for my SDS at NO charge, so I have 2 now. But on the prepaid return label subject, Uniden DID send one for the 436 clock repair, on the other hand I had to pay $20 to UPS to send a radio back to Kenwood, so it does vary.

The classifieds here, and eBay are your best bets. There's one on eBay, bidding at $407 with 3 days left on the auction. You could almost infer that most people who buy them keep them, rather than selling them. You see a lot more posts about "selling scanner X to buy an SDS" than the other way around.

It's at $610 + shipping, 10 minutes left...
