I have 2 sds200 and 1 sds100. They work great with 700mhz P25 trunking systems. But when I do search in the 700mhz public safety band they don't receive anything including the frequencies in the trunked system. I have the same problem with all 3 scanners. I did a radio factory reset on one scanner then tried a search in 700 range and nothing still. Limited search works great on all other bands just not 700 band. Would appreciate any help. Thanks

I would not scan that system using search mode. Download Sentinel from Uniden, plug your scanner into your computer, and add the Hillsborough County P25 system to a Favorites List. Make sure ID Search is on as well.
Thats how I have it setup. I use favorites list. I don't scan the full database

Attach your config files in a zip file and I can look into it further and see what's wrong.

If your config files are fine then I would then check your antenna. If that's not the problem then you may need to send it to Uniden for repairs.

I have no idea how to do that. I must be to old. I don't know what config files are. My antennas are working I've checked mutipule times. It's just when I search the 700 band I don't receive anything. 700 trunking works fine. Thanks. I'll call Uniden tomorrow was trying to avoid doing that. Craig

If I understand the OP correctly, he is able to scan the programmed 700Mhz system with no issues. His issue is that he does not receive anything when he searches the 700Mhz band. This happens on multiple radios - sds100 and sds200.

Are you able to search other bands successfully? One thing to check is to ensure that Broadcast Screen is disabled.

Broadcast Screen - Allows the scanner to ignore hits on known broadcast frequencies including pager frequencies in search and Close Call modes. You can also program up to 10 custom frequency ranges that the scanner will ignore.

If a broadcast screen is enabled, this will cause the scanner to ignore frequencies. SCR should be shown on display if a broadcast screen is enabled.

See this section of the "Easier to Read" manual:

MENU -> Srch/CloCall Opt -> Broadcast Screen -> Set All Band Off

This should turn all broadcast screens off.
That didn't work. I'm calling Uniden tomorrow. Thanks

I'm everywhere Focker!
Maybe check the step size. If it's set to 12.5 kHz you probably won't hear anything. Try setting it to 6.25 and see what happens.

All ready tried that. Scanner stops on control channels. And sometimes stops on other frequencies but just breaks the squelch no voice.

Sent 1 scanner to undien for repair. The one that was still under warranty. Just got back today after 3 weeks. They just turned custom one on. It did not fix the problem. I played with the others while it was gone. And found that it sometimes it works with digital wait time set to 0ms and filter set to off in the srch/clocall opt. ????
