And, the scanner came with 4 rubber stick-on feet.

The supplied rubber feet are located in the plastic bag containing the mounting bracket screws. They are small feet. I used on the mounting bracket, works fine. See attached photo - I inverted the mounting bracket to use as a stand. BTW, the Bearcat display was a marketing display used in retail stores late 70's/early 80's. I obtained at a hamfest in '84.[/QUOTE]And, the scanner came with 4 rubber stick-on feet.

Nice! I remember seeing these in K Mart stores. K Mart is where I purchased my first programmable scanners - the original BC-210, purchased two and loved them. 40+ years of owning Bearcat scanners.Have one myself now back to the topic at hand.

Do they reduce the noise on the speaker? I the bracket and sits on some ply wood (with no rubber stick feet on).
The supplied rubber feet fit into the four indentations on the bracket. They work well when using the brackets as a tilt stand.Yep, those rubber feet were better suited for some little Munchkin scanner, not a beefy base station like the SDS200. Sorry, Paul lol. But I put them to good use on a desk stand that I use for a 2m HT - perfect
Just out of curiosity, have any of you noticed that it takes something like five detent clicks of the volume dial before you start to hear scanner audio from the internal speaker? This is also the case for the headphone and speaker jacks. This does not take in to account the modulating hum that can be heard at power on without turning up the volume. Strangely, this means that the lowest monitoring level may still be too loud in some situations. I wonder if this is something that can be resolved in firmware?
I miss Kmart, life has never been the same. We have Kmart nostalgia parties here in town when it's snowy out. Some of us voluntarily enrolled ourselves in a grief support group. It's been helpful, but still, my eyes well up at times triggered by other things. Being born into the Sargasso Sea of consumerism in middle America has it's unintended consequences. I thought i read here on one of the post that someone replaced the sd card with a better one and the noise went away has anyone tried this yet?
