Is this port turning normal it used to be even it did it on my old sds100 should I take it in for repairs https://ibb.co/kSxtytq
Look at the picture see how the 2 lines are in a different direction like I explained they used to be in a 10:00 position know there in a 12:00 position“Port Turning”? Are you referring to the antenna SMA connector (and/or the round slotted nut that tightens the connector to the body of the radio? Sorry but I’ve not heard the connector (and any turning) referred to as port turning… you have me guessing.

Too bad, so sad I guess. Your radio, do with it as you wish, or heck, just buy another new one.Damn so I’m gonna be without a radio for a month or 2
So far since you've owned this scanner (couple months?)....you painted the case lime green to resemble an APX radio, you "bump it" and it cuts off, you've opened it up and "think" the SD slot is "wiggling/loose", and now you think their is an issue with the antenna housing or something, you create a post every 3-4 days with a "new" perceived issue with your scanner, and you demand a response within an allotted time. Am I caught up now? Might be time to sell the scanner and find a new hobby or stop f-n with everything and sit down and listen.![]()
I wish you would of showed me that before I send it to saddle creekClicked on your video. Just shows a radio in a darkened enviroment with a hand pushing buttons and audio coming out. Nothing to do with the antenna connection. From your descrition, it sounds like maybe your jamb nut on the antenna connector is just loose. Take a pointed object an see if you can tighten the nut. If entire connector is turning, I'd can tech support for the radio.

The hole point of the video was to show the Rssi and d errorVideo shows nothing about an antenna connector. Photo linked in first post is not detailed enough to understand what you are trying to show.
Can I still get this back or will uniden half to send me another replacementOk. I’m guessing the “lines” you refer to are the two slots for the spanner wrench on the connector (the slots are actually the top of a spin nut that holds the SMA connector in place). My take on the slots moving from a 10 o’clock/4 o’clock position to a 12 o'clock/6 o’clock position are that at some point when the antenna was tightened down on the SMA connector, a bit too much force was applied, causing the connector to spin slightly (or someone tightened up that connector spin nut). Since the connector is supposed to be firmly mounted to the case of the radio and/or the chassis, you may have broken the antenna connection inside the radio. That shouldn’t be too hard to check by comparing what you receive now to what you received before when the connector was at the 10/4 setting. If your reception is off, you probably broke the connection inside the radio. If not, and you hear just as well as before, you may not have broken the connection. But I wouldn’t be torquing down any antenna too tightly when screwing it on the SMA connector in the future. As stated previously, your choice to if you want to send it in for inspection.
It’s the 820sIs it the stock antenna or a new one? Some antennas are too large to fit into the recessed hole of the SDS100 and will not engage the threads on the connector to tighten up. It appears that the connector is rotating when it is not.
