Not sure if this has been asked or not but how many systems can you add per favorite list in the sds100 and also how many frequencies can you add per dmr one frequency (yes I know it says one frequency I’m just curious)

For an OFT system (One Frequency Trunked), you can have only one frequency per site. However, if you have more than one frequency connected with that system, just add each additional frequency to a separate site. So, if you had 4 frequencies, connected with that location, you would have four sites in the system, one per site.

Actually...you can add more than 1 frequency per site on an OFT system. If the talk group is duplicated across all the frequencies (TGID 1 for example), this wouldn't be very practical.

However, If each frequency uses 1 separate talk group (TGID 100,200 etc. for example), this works very well. A little detective work, run initially in ID Search to get a feel at what your looking at.

Got it I was putting more than one frequency per system and not doing sites….. so how many systems can you have per favorite list

Once you understand the basics of OFT Trunking, you can add additional frequencies at the site level. As I cautioned, this could be problematic if duplicate talk group ID's are used on all the frequencies. OFT programming is not available if you're downloading from the database, so you'll have to self-program the information based on the information from the database. No need to private message, I don't have any additional tips and by posting here, might help someone else who is looking to do the same.

Probably not applicable to US where you have all frequency data available from a FCC website, but other countries may not have that luxury and what I do when finding DMR frequencies using band searches are to enter all those into one OFT site. Then I look if one TG or user pops up on several channels and then move those channels to a separate OFT site that then might be one specific system.

I manually continue scan on a conversation to see if that same conversation pops up on another frequency that then belongs to the same system but are another site. TG's like 1-10-100 are often used by different systems so you will then have to look at the user id as well, to see if it uses different lengths of digits that then probably are users in different systems.
