The radio has arrived!
The little Remtronix 820S antenna fits like a glove and is doing a good job, even sitting here on my kitchen table.

So far, I'm pleased (and somewhat relieved) that I'm actually hearing some local police activity.
So there doesn't appear to be too much encryption around here yet. But time will tell.

I have installed ProScan and am in there tweaking :)
The remote control feature is awesome with the hit list etc.

Lake, Geauga, Portage, no encryption. Trumbull Police, Mahoning, Akron, Strongsville, North Royalton, have encryption.
Noted, thanks.
I'm in Twinsburg (Summit) and am hearing Twinsburg/Reminderville police and neighboring towns Macedonia/Northfield/Sagamore Hills, Hudson and Solon/Glenwillow (Cuyahoga) OK so far.
According to the database, Twinsburg police Ch.2 is partially encrypted and most of the Summit county sheriff channels are encrypted.

I just plugged my rooftop FM broadcast band vertical dipole antenna into my SDS100 and it is working surprisingly well for my local P25 reception! Now I can listen in the basement while I'm working.
I do have an HPN-30118 FM block filter on there as well. This really helps with Airband.

Or invest in Proscan and you can choose only the site(s) and talkgroups you want to add without the whole "having to remove what you don't want" nonsense :ROFLMAO:. Why the Sentinel developer(s) never incorporated "pick & choose" at the site/dept/channel level is beyond me...
I figured out how to hold shift and the down arrow to delete multiple sites at a time. You actually have to go to editing a single favorites list where it brings up a separate window. From there, you can click on the “sites” tab and delete multiple at a time. You’re right though, it’s crazy that you can’t just select the site that you want from the very beginning.

on a sidenote, I just received the GPS accessory. Going to drive through a few different counties today and put it to the test with my favorites off and the full database on. Looks like once I leave Cleveland, I can just lock onto MARCS.

I’m hoping by setting the range to 2 miles, that it will avoid scanning tons of sites. 🤞
